Jhenaidah: A man was killed in a mob attack at Gouripurnath village in Maheshpur upazila of Jhenaidah early on Tuesday, reports UNB.

The Maheshpur police officer-in-charge Aminul Islam said local people caught Nazrul Islam, a resident of the same village, while he tried to steal a goat from a house in the village at about 4:30am.

Later, the mob beat Nazrul and left him dead on the spot.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
