Benapole: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) rescued a teenage girl from Babubazar brothel in Jessore town on Wednesday night.

Jessore RAB 6 camp corporal Khairul Alam said tipped off; a team of the elite force conducted a raid on the red-light district at about 10:30pm and rescued the 16-year-old girl.

They also arrested Reshma, aged around 40 years, a leader of sex workers, from the brothel.

A young man named Babu had sold the girl to the brothel, Alam added.

A case was filed against Babu and Reshma with Jessore Kotwali Model Police.
