Detective Branch (DB) assistant superintend of police Hasan Arafat said they will produce Shafik Rehman before the court in the afternoon on completion of his five-day custody in the case and will seek seven-day custody for further interrogation.

Earlier, on 16 April, Judge Muhammad Mazharul Islam of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate court placed Shafik Rehman on the five-day police custody in the case.
