Woman found dead in Noakhali
Noakhali: A housewife was found slaughtered at Dakkhin Char Clerk Adarsha village of Subarnachar upazila on Friday morning.
The deceased is Kulsuma Begum, 35, 2nd wife of Firoj Alam of the village.
Nizam Uddin, officer-in-charge of Char Jabbar Police Station, said Kulsuma used to live alone in a house built on a disputed land at the village.
As Kulsuma did not come out of the house even after late in the morning, locals rushed to the house and called her from outside, he said.
Getting no response, they peeped through a window only to see her lying in a pool of blood.
In information, police recovered the body and sent it to Noakhali General Hospital.
The OC said Kulsuma’s husband and Jahirul Haque of Uttar Charbata village had been at loggerheads over the ownership of the land piece where the house was constructed.
