The deceased is Yunus Ali,40, a resident Bhallukghar village in Keshabpur upazila of Jessore.
Tipped off that a gang of robbers were preparing to commit robbery on the highway by placing logs, a team of police went to the spot at about 4:30am, said Jessore Kotwali police officer-in-charge Akkas Ali.
