Pabna: A regional banned party leader was hacked to death by miscreants in Bhinnogram area of Santhia upazila in Pabna on Sunday morning.

The deceased is Al Amin Hossain, aged around 35years, a resident of the area and a regional leader of Purba Banglar Communist Party (ML- Lal Pataka), reports UNB.

Ataikula police officer-in-charge Abdur Razzak said miscreants hacked Al Amin early in the morning near the River Ichhamati.

Later farmers discovered his body lying in the area and called police.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Pabna General Hospital.
