Gazipur: Gazipur: A guard of Kashimpur Jail was gunned down by miscreants in front of the jail gate on Monday morning.

The deceased is Rostom, believed to be in his forty, a sergeant instructor at the prison.

Kashimpur Jail super Prashanta Kumar said two miscreants riding on a motorcycle arrived in front of jail gate at about 11:00am and opened fire at Rostom while he was standing at a tea stall adjacent to the jail, leaving him dead on the spot.

Later, jail authorities called police and they took the body to Tajuddin Ahmed College Hospital.
