Chittagong: Five courier service offices were burnt as fire broke out at a building of Chittagong Export Processing Zone (CEPZ) on Tuesday morning.
The fire damaged essential products, documents and furniture and also an officers’ mess in the building.

Fire service authorities said the fire originated at about 11:30am and engulfed in the building quickly.    

Witnesses and fire fighters said five courier service offices are T&T Courier Service, DHL, Fed-Ex, and Aromax Courier Service.

Fire service deputy director Jasim Uddin said eight trucks of two fire service units and two fire trucks of Navy brought the fire under control after three hours of effort.
