Pakistani conspiracy is being implemented in Bangladesh with support from the BNP-Jamaat nexus, says Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan.

‘Those who failed with violence in the name of movement have taken the extreme path of killing people. No one has ever been able to establish an ideal by killing people,’ said the minister.

‘Extremists are trying to motivate people giving false interpretation of religion. This attempt will fail. Militancy will not be allowed in Bangladesh,’ added the minister.

The minister made the remark on Saturday while inaugurating cutter suction dredger CD Imam Shafi collected by the Mongla port authority in Bagerhat.

The total cost for the construction of the dredger was Tk 30,42,68,773 and it was constructed by Timblo Drydocks Private Limited of India and Western Marine Shipping Limited of Bangladesh.
