Narayanganj: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a raid between 3:00am to 10:00am on Thursday arrested six people and seized local and foreign arms and drugs from Rupganj upazila in Narayanganj.

Lieutenant colonel Anwar Latif Khan in a press conference at RAB-11 office in Adamzi Nagar said RAB held Shamser, a black-listed criminal, and five of his assistants from Chanpara Shelter Centre.

Out of 12 cases including murder, robbery and explosive cases against Shamser, arrest warrants have been issued in six cases.

RAB also recovered a foreign pistol, a magazine, a bullet, 22 local sharp weapons and machetes, eight crude bombs, 60 bottles of phensidyl and 500 Yaba pills.
