15 senior police officials transferred

The government on Sunday transferred 15 senior police officials, including five additional deputy inspector generals, in a wide-ranging shuffle in police administration.

The Ministry of Home Affairs made the changes issuing three separate orders signed by the joint secretary ASM Imdadud Dastgir.

Khulna Metropolitan Police additional commissioner M Aurangzeb Mahbub was made the commandant (additional deputy inspector general) of Armed Police Battalion (APBN) and specialized training centre at Khagrachari. KMP Khulna range additional deputy inspector general Khandker Rafiqul Islam was assigned as director (additional DIG) of Rapid Action Battalion.

APBN headquarter additional DIG Hasan Ul Haider was transferred as commandant (additional DIG) of Police Training Centre at Tangail while Noakhali Police Training Centre commandant Hasib Aziz was assigned as additional DIG of APBN headquarter.

Criminal Investigation Department Dhaka additional DIG (current charge) Habibur Rahman was transferred as commandant of Police Training Centre in Noakhali.

Meanwhile, Rezaul Karim Mallik, superintendent of police of Bangladesh Police Academy at Sarda, Rajshahi was transferred as superintendent of police in Police Bureau of Investigation, Dhaka. Barishal Range Reserve Force (RRF) commandant (superintendent of police) Kazi Mortaz Ahmed was made superintendent of police of Tourist Police in Dhaka.

Khulna RRF commandant (superintendent of police) M Nazmul Karim Khan and Commandant (superintendent of police) of second APBN in Muktagacha, Mymensingh Delowar Hossain Miah were transferred as special superintendent of police at CID, Dhaka.

Commandant (superintendent of police) of fourth APBN in Bogra Abu Naser Mohammad Khaled was transferred as Commandant (superintendent of police) of 13 APBN in Barisal.

M Akkas Uddin Bhuiyan, superintendent of police of Specialised Security and Protection Battalion, Dhaka was made Commandant (superintendent of police) of second APBN in Muktagacha, Mymensingh.

Mohammad Abdur Rahim, Commandant (superintendent of police) of tenth APBN in Barishal was made superintendent of police of Police Training College in Khulna.

Sylhet RRF commandant J Ansar Uddin Khan Pathan was made superintendent of police of Bangladesh Police Academy at Sarda in Rajshahi.

Meanwhile, Jaypurhat superintendent of police M Abul Kalam Siddiq was made the deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police. Dhaka Metropolitan Police deputy commissioner Molla Nazrul Islam was made as Jaypurhat superintendent of police, cancelling his earlier transfer order as Barishal Metropolitan Police deputy commissioner.
