Dhaka: Customs officials seized approximately 60kg of gold from a flight at Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Monday.

Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate director general Mainul Khan said the gold was recovered from a flight of Bangladesh Biman ‘BG 048’ from Dubai which arrived at the airport via Chittagong at about 8:30am.

He said the gold was hidden behind the mirror panel of the toilet of the flight.
