Laxmipur: Detective Branch (DB) recovered firearms and ammunition from a house at Jahanabad in Sadar upazila on Monday night.

Police said a team of DB led by police superintendent Shah Mizan Safiur Rahman conducted a raid on the house of Fazlul Haque in the area and recovered two pipe guns, a rifle, a light gun and 56 rounds of bullet in an abandoned condition at about 10:30pm.

However, no one was arrested in this connection.

The recovered firearms were kept in the area to carry out subversive activities, said police.
