Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)-led 20-Party Alliance called a countrywide 48-hr hartal from Monday.

BNP Joint secretary general Barkatullah Bulu on Sunday in a statement said they will enforce the shutdown from 6:00am Monday to 6:00am Wednesday.

Barkat Ullah said Dhaka and Chittagong metropolitan cities will be out of the range of hartal due to the upcoming election for city corporations.
