Lalmonirhat: Three members of a family died after drinking excessive liquor at Kashiram village in Kaliganj upazila on Tuesday morning, reports UNB.

The deceased are Jadulal, 62, a cleaning worker and a resident of the village, his wife Rina Bala, 40, and brother-in-law Ranjan Ray, 25.

Kaliganj police officer-in-charge Sajjad Hossain said the trio drank excessive liquor celebrating the marriage ceremony of Jadulal’s son on Monday night.

Relatives found Rina and Ranjan dead on Tuesday morning and Jadulal critically injured.

Jadulal was rushed to Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex where on duty doctors declared him dead.
