Norail: A bus driver’s assistant was killed and twenty others were injured in a road accident on the Narail-Jessore Highway near Shitarampur Bridge on Monday afternoon.

The deceased is Jahidul.

Police said the accident took place when a driver of Narail-bound bus from Jessore lost control over the steering and the bus rammed into a roadside tree at about 5:00pm, leaving Jahidul and 20 passengers of the bus injured.

The injured were taken to the Narail sadar hospital where on-duty doctor declared Jahidul dead.
