Dhaka: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today greeted the countrymen as well as the Muslims across the world on occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, the greatest religious festival of the Muslim Ummah.

‘I extend my greetings to the people of the country and the Muslim world on occasion of the Eid-ul-Fitr, which has brought the message of happiness for all after the month-long practice of self-restraint,’ the Prime Minister said in a message.

She said Eid teaches us about peace, amity and brotherhood and also educate us to establish social harmony, forgetting hatred and conflict.

The Prime Minister called upon all to reflect the teachings of Eid-ul-Fitr in personal, social and national lives.

She hoped that Eid-ul-Fitr would bring message of happiness to all, irrespective of the rich and poor.

The Prime Minister prayed to Almighty Allah for continued peace, progress and welfare of the county and the Muslim Ummah.
