Crude bombs, pamphlets of PBCP recovered in Meherpur
Meherpur: Police on Monday recovered three crude bombs and more than one hundred copies of a pamphlet of banned outfit Purbo Banglar Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist) from a house near Bar Association Bhaban in the district town.
It was announced in the pamphlet that hitherto splinters Purbo Banglar Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist Laal Potaka) and Purbo Banglar Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist Jonojuddho) were united under the name of Purbo Banglar Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist) on April 21 last.
The pamphlet also claimed the responsibility of killing Nazrul, an operative of Bon Tittorabeel area in Alamdanga upazila in Chuadanga district, alleging that Nazrul went ‘out-of-control’.
Locals said some restaurant workers noticed the crude bombs and the pamphlets in an abandoned state inside the room under the stair of a building adjacent to Bar Association Bhaban and informed police.
Later, a team led by sub-inspector Robiul Islam of Sadar Police Station recovered the materials from the spot.
