Jessore: A woman was found hanged at her room at Navaran village in Sharsha upazila on Tuesday night, reports UNB.

The deceased is Anjana Rani, 20, wife of Palash Kumar, a resident of Navaran village.

Quoting locals, police said she was found hanged with the ceiling of her room at about 10:00pm.

Later, she was whisked off to Jessore Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctors declared her dead.

Anjana had given birth to a baby two and a half months back. But the child died after eight days of its birth and the incident made Anjana utterly depressed, police said.

An unnatural death case was filed with Kotwali Police Station.
