Murder case accused held

Sherpur: Police detained the prime accused in a case filed for killing a college student on 20 February from Tangail on Friday.
The detainee was Nazmul Hasan, resident of Porabari village in Nalitabari upazila.
Nalitabari police sub-inspector and also the investigation officer of the case Arif Hossain said after tracking the mobile phone of the accused, police arrested him from Natun Bus Stand area in the Tangail town on Friday afternoon.
On 20 February, Abdur Razzak, a college student, believed to be 16, along with his three friends went to the Madhutila Echo Park in Nalitabari upazila.
When they entered the Lalpahar bordering area, a group of miscreants swooped on them and stabbed them indiscriminately, leaving Razzak dead on the spot and three others injured.
A case was filed in this connection with Nalitabari Police Station.
On 25 March, police arrested Mamin Mia, another accused in the murder case from Burunga village in the upazila.
Meanwhile, Mamin Mia made a confessional statement before the judicial court where he confessed his involvement in the incident.
