Brahmanbaria: A mobile court on Friday fined four fishermen TK 2500 each for selling fish fry in Kautoli Bazar area of Sadar upazila.

A mobile court led by Executive Magistrate Sohel Rana conducted the drive in the bazaar and detained four fishermen with the fish fry in the morning.

Later the court fined them TK 2500 each.

Meanwhile, another mobile court in a drive seized 60,000 metre current nets worth TK 3 lakh from Bil Boalia of the upazila in the morning. The current net was burned down in Bhadhughar Bazar area in presence of district fisheries officer Nurul Islam and senior fisheries officer Sharif Uddin.
