Police to quiz Gaibandha madrasah teacher over Sholakia attack link
Gaibandha: A court in Gaibandha on Sunday gave police the permission to interrogate madrasah teacher Anwar Hossain, detained for renting house to Sholakia attack accused Shariful Islam, for five days.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Taskinul Haque passed the order after a team of police of Gobindaganj produced him before the court seeking to quiz him for seven days, UNB reported quoting officer-in-charge of the police station Mojammel Haque.
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) held Anwar, a resident of Panthapara in Gobindaganj upazila and supervisor of Khalsi Ebtedayee Madrasah, for sheltering Shariful Islam on Saturday.
Shariful earlier confessed that he had been staying in Anwar’s house before the attack.
Earlier on July 7, the eid day, at least four people, including two policemen, were killed and 12 others injured in a bomb attack coupled with an exchange of gunfire after terrorists attacked at a temporary police check post near Sholakia Eidgah in Sadar upazila of Kishoreganj.
