Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chairperson Khaleda Zia will offer prayer at the grave of her younger son Arafat Rahman Koko at Banani Graveyard on Monday afternoon.
The BNP chief is scheduled to go to Koko’s graveyard around 5:00pm from her Gulshan residence where she returned on Sunday after 92 days, said her media wing member Shamsuddin Didar.
Senior BNP leaders will accompany Khaleda Zia, he said adding that it will be her first visit to Koko’s grave.
Khaleda, who had been staying in her Gulshan office since 3 January, came out of it for the first time on Sunday to appear before a court seeking bail in two graft cases filed against her. After securing the bail, she returned to her residence.
On 24 January, Arafat Rahman Koko died of cardiac arrest at his forties in Malaysia.
His body was taken home on 27 January and buried at Banani Graveyard after a huge namaz-e-janaza at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque on the same day.
Khaleda was said to be confined on that time to her Gulshan office where she had had the glimpse of her son.
Khaleda last met her younger son in Bangkok in June 2013 on her way to the United States.
