3 ‘militants’ held carrying crude bombs, gunpowder in Dinajpur

Dinajpur: Police arrested three suspected militants from Rannagar area of Dinajpur on early Friday and recovered crude bombs, gun powder, and religious books from their possession, reports UNB.
The arrestees are Shahinur Islam, 22, of Danarhat village in Sadar upazila, Moniruzzaman, 30, of Dangulita village in Tala upazila and Asaduzzaman, 24, of Palashbari village in Chirirbandar upazila.
Hasanuzzaman Mollah, assistant superintendent of Dinajpur Sadar circle, said a patrol team of police challenged the young men and asked them to stop while they were passing the area riding on a motorcycle at about 2:00am.
As they tried to flee, the team members arrested them with the help of local people.
Police also recovered 17 crude bombs, gun powder, religious books and masks from their possession.
