Habiganj: Four persons were killed when a tractor head-on collided with an easy bike, utility vehicle used for public transport, at Umednagar of Habiganj on Wednesday morning.

Three others were injured in the accident which took place in front of Agradut filling station at about 9:30am.

The deceased are Lal Mia, in his sixties, a resident of Daulatpur, Baniyachang upazila, Kalim Mia, in his thirties, resident of Ramganj, Rahima Begum, in her thirties, and a child, believed to be a year old.  

The injured were taken to Habiganj Sadar Modern Hospital. Doctors said three of them are in critical condition.

Police said a man was killed on the spot and three others were died in the hospital. The bodies were kept in Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
