Narayanganj: A case has been filed against 43 people in connection with the killing of a policeman in a mass beating at Noail Raisdia in Sonargaon upazila of Narayanganj on Wednesday.

Sonargaon Police Station Officer-in-charge Manjur Quader said police filed the case against around eight identified and 35 unidentified people at night.

Earlier, Arifuzzaman Khan, a constable of Sonargaon Police Station, also a resident of Manikganj district, was killed in a mass beating after an alleged drug trader drowned in a pond during an anti-narcotics drive at Noail Raisdia in Sonargaon upazila headquarters on Wednesday.
