Juba League leader killed in Dinajpur

A local leader of Juba League, youth front of the ruling Awami League, was killed in a clash over ownership of a pond at Boigram in Hakimpur upazila of Dinajpur on Saturday morning.
The deceased is identified as Abu Hayat Mohammad Badiuzzaman Sujon,30, president of the Boaldah union unit of Jubo League and son of late Selim Master of the village, reports UNB.
Hakimpur police station Officer-in-charge Abdus Sabur said, there had been a longstanding dispute between Sujon and his neighbour Rabiul, son of Shariful of the village, over ownership of a pond.
The clash ensued following an altercation between them over the issue in the morning.
At one stage, men of Rabiul hit Sujon with a stick, leaving him critically injured.
Sujon succumbed to his injures on way to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
