Dinajpur: Police arrested a woman for her alleged involvement in the killing of local Juba League leader Sujon from Boigramv village in Hakimpur upazila of Dinajpur on Saturday night.

The arrestee is Nurjahan Begum, 45, wife of Gias Uddin, a resident of the village.

Hakimpur police officer-in-charge Abdus Sabur said tipped off, a team of police conducted a raid on the house of Nurjahan Begum in the area and arrested her at about 8:30pm.

Abu Hayat Mohammad Badiuzzaman Sujon, 30, president of the Boaldah union unit of Jubo League and son of late Selim Master of the village, was killed in a clash over ownership of a pond at the village on Saturday morning.
