Rajshahi: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a man and seized one foreign pistol, one magazine and two bullets from Meherchandi area in Rajshahi on Sunday night.

The arrestee is Haider Ali alias Aminul, 35, son of Abul Hossain, a resident of Shyampur area of the city.

In a press release, RAB said being informed that a criminal gang was staying in the area, a team of the elite force conducted a drive there and arrested Haider at about 11:30 pm.

However, the associates of Haider managed to flee from the scene.

RAB members also recovered one foreign pistol, one magazine and two bullets from his possession.
