Security has been tightened in front Dhaka Central Jail amid speculations of the execution of war crime convict Jamaat-e-Islami leader Mohammad Kamaruzzaman.

A good number of police, RAB members and plain-clothes have been positioned there.

Earlier at about 8:00pm today, Lalbagh zone deputy commissioner Mohammad Mafiz Uddin Ahmed, along with a physician, was seen going inside the jail.

An hour earlier a trolley with bamboos in it moved into the jail gate.

Vehicular movement was also restricted in the area.
