Patuakhali: A schoolboy was found dead in Koborosthan area of Patuakhali town on Friday morning, reports UNB.

The deceased is Sabuj Mia, 15, a class X student of Patuakhali Technical Training Centre and son of Motiur Rahman, a resident of the area.

Motiur Rahman, father of the victim, said he phoned his son at about 11:00pm on Thursday and Sabuj said he was on way home but he did return yet and his phone was found switched off.

Saheb Ali Pathan, assistant superintendent of police (Sadar Circle), said being informed by locals, police recovered the body from near a drain in the town graveyard and sent it to hospital morgue for an autopsy.

The body bore several injury marks, said police.
