Habiganj: Police in separate raids arrested 43 convicted and absconding accused from different areas of Habiganj on Friday and Thursday, reports BSS.

Chunarughat Thana police conducted a raid in Isapur village under Chunarughat Thana on Thursday night and arrested convicted absconder Muskud Ali.

Police said Muskud Ali was convicted by a court in 2002 and since then he was absconding.

Meanwhile Detective Branch (DB) of police conducted raid in second bridge area in Habiganj town on Thursday evening and arrested drug peddler Lungi Janab Ali, 40, and recovered 10 pieces of yaba tablets from his possession.Police in its regular drives arrested 41 absconding accused from different areas of the district today and Thursday.

Among the 41 arrested, 34 persons are under warrant and seven are accused of regular cases.
