Benapole: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members arrested 56 Bangladeshi nationals while they were entering the country through Sadipur border point here on Sunday night, after going to India illegally.  

BGB-26 commanding officer Lt Col Jahangir Hossain said a team of the border force conducted a drive in the area and arrested the 56 people, including 19 women and nine children, at about 10:30pm while they were trying to return to the country from India without valid documents of their travel to India.  

All of them hail from different areas of Faridpur and Narail.

The arrested were handed over to Benapole Port Police Station.

A case was filed in this connection.
