3 vehicles torched in Ctg

Chittagong: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir activists set three vehicles afire at Sholoshahar Mayor Goli in Pnachlaish area in the city in support of their countrywide dawn-to-dusk hartal on Monday morning, protesting the execution of death sentence of war criminal Jamaat leader M Kamaruzzaman.
Panchlaish police officer-in-charge said a group of Jamaat-Shibir men brought out a sudden procession in the area and set fire to a truck, a private car and an auto-rickshaw parked at Sholoshahar Mayer Goli.
However, no one was hurt during the incident.
Two firefighters rushed to the spot and doused the blaze.
