Dhaka: A strong earthquake was felt at several places in Bangladesh including Dhaka on Wednesday afternoon at 4:34pm, creating panic among people.

According to US Geological Survey, The epicentre of the 6.8 Richter scale earthquake was 25km west of Chauk, Myanmar.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the depth of the quake was 84.1kilometers.
