Sylhet: Two Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) students who were arrested on Wednesday for their suspected link to militancy have been released.

Rapid Action Battalion set Roknuzzaman Rana, a Petroleum and Mining Engineering student, and Mehedi Hasan Tuhin, an Industrial and Production Engineering student, free on Thursday night after interrogation, UNB reported quoting SUST assistant proctor Samiul Islam.

He said they were released as the elite force did not find their involvement with militancy during primary interrogation.

Earlier on Wednesday night, Rana was picked up from Tapoban area while Tuhin from Surma residential area on Wednesday night.
