Iran keen to work with Bangladesh on climate issues
Dhaka: Iranian government has expressed its willingness to work together with Bangladesh to help it address the adverse impacts of climate change.
The offer came when newly appointed Iranian Ambassador in Dhaka Dr Abbas Vaezi met Environment and Forests minister Anwar Hossain Manju at his office on Thursday.
During the meeting, Dr Abbas said the Iran government has given special emphasis on climate change issues.
Anwar Hossain Manju said the Bangladesh government has already formed a national committee on environment, led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and it has been working actively to deal with environmental challenges.
