Bhairab: Train services were affected on Friday morning following the derailment of a train at Jagannathpur area of Bhairab.
The derailment halted rail communications of Dhaka to Kishoreganj and Mymensingh and Mymensingh Sylhet and Chittagong via Bhairab for around two hours.

Later, trains are diverted through alternative route from 12:30noon.  

Bhairab junction station master said the engine of the Kishorganj-bound inter-city train Egarsindhu derailed near Jagannathpur area at about 10:30am.

No casualty was reported in the incident.

The train restarted for Kishorganj with an alternative engine after around two hours.

The station master said the rail links will resume after a salvage train from Akhaura recover the derailed engine
