PM shocked at deaths in Gazipur boiler blast
Dhaka: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed deep shock at the deaths of over 20 people in a boiler explosion in a factory in Gazipur.
In a condolence message, the Prime Minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Sheikh Hasina also wished early recovery of the injured people.
She asked the authorities concerned for providing better treatment to the injured people, reports UNB.
A fire on Saturday at Tampaco Foils Ltd, a food and cigarette packaging factory near Tongi BSCIC Railway Station in Gazipur, killed at least 23 people and injured more than two dozen, emergency and government officials said, with fears the toll could rise, Reuters reported.
