Bandarban: A young man was killed when a truck ran over him during a village arbitration at Hafezghona area of Bandarban on Saturday night.
The deceased is Shuman Bangali, believed to be 18, a resident of Hafezghona.

At least five people were injured in the accident.

Local people said a truck ran over a group of people while they were sitting for an arbitration at Gazi’s shop in the area and left six people injured at about 11:45pm.

The injured were taken to Sadar Hospital. Shuman died on the way to Chittagong for better treatment.

The Sadar police said the truck was seized from the spot.
