BCL leader found dead in Lalmonirhat

Lalmonirhat: A local Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader was found dead in Sadar upazila on Thursday night, reports UNB.
Police recovered the body of Mashiur Rahman Musfique, 22, assistant organising secretary of the district unit BCL, and son of Mozammel Haque of Taluk Khutamara area of the district town, from a paddy field in Trimohani Bridge area at about 11:00pm.
Sadar police officer-in-charge Rafiqul Islam said miscreants might have hacked Mashiur, a student of Lalmonirhat Govt College, to death and dumped the body in the area.
He also said they detained his two friends—Rubel and Rahi—for interrogation in this connection. ‘He might have been killed following dispute over financial dealings,’ the OC added.
