Sylhet: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested a man posing as an official of National Security Intelligence (NSI) from Chandipool area under Dakhshin Surma thana in Sylhet on Sunday afternoon.

The arrestee is Mohammad Ihsanul Haque alias Hridoy, in his twenties, a resident of Sheikhghat Kazir Bazar area, resident of Jalilpur village of Sadar upazila in Sunamganj district.

RAB officials said on secret information, a team of RAB led by ASP Md Bellal Hossain Mallik of Sylhet RAB-9, camp CPC-1, conducted a drive in the area in the afternoon and arrested Hridoy along with fake NSI uniform, fake identity card and two mobile sets.

Later, he was handed over to Dakhshin Surma Police.
