Tangail: A leak was detected on a underwater gas pipeline of Titas Gas adjacent to Pouli Bridge in Kalihati upazila of Tangail on Wednesday morning.

Tangail Fire Station Manager Kafil Uddin said local people spotted an irregular water surge, triggered by the gas leakage, on the water surface of the River Pouli near the bridge at about 9:00am.

Informed, police as well as one unit of firefighters went to the spot.

The firefighters are trying to patch the leak.
