Gazipur: Seven people suffered burn injuries as a fire broke out at a readymade garment (RMG) factory in Chandra Palli Bidyut area, Kaliakoir, Gazipur on Monday morning.

Four of the seven injured are Dulal, Awal, Fazlu, Rehena, Yasin.

The injured were taken to the Burn Unit of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).

Fire service officials said the fire broke out in the compressor room of Agami Washing Limited. of at Palli Bidyut at about 6:00am and engulfed another room of the factory later on.

Firefighters from Kaliakoir Fire Station went to the spot and brought the flame under control after an hour.

The reason behind fire could not be known immediately.
