Rajshahi: Body of a student was found in a sewer of Nabab Abdul Latif Hall at the University of Rajshahi (RU) on Thursday morning.

The deceased is Motaleb Hossain Lipu, in his early twenties, a year II student of Department of Mass Communication and Journalism of the university. He lived in room no. 203 of the student dormitory.

Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) Deputy Commissioner (East) Ameer Zafar said workers of the student house found the body of Lipu floating in the pond at about 9:30pm and called the RU authority.

Police recovered the body from the drain and sent it to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue for autopsy.
