President reaches Singapore

Dhaka: President Abdul Hamid on Thursday reached Singapore for the treatment of his rib pain.
A flight of Singapore Airlines carrying the President landed at Changi International Airport at 6:00am (Singapore local time), said the President's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim.
The President was received by the Bangladesh High Commissioner to Singapore Mahbub-Uz-Zaman.
Earlier, President Abdul Hamid left Dhaka at about 11:55pm on Wednesday for the treatment.
Foreign Minister AH Mahmud Ali, the dean of the diplomatic corps in Bangladesh, the cabinet secretary, the chiefs of the three services, Home Secretary, Secretary of Prime Minister office, Foreign secretary, Consul General of Singapore Consulate in Bangladesh and high civil and military officials concerned saw him off at the airport.
Earlier on 26 April, Abdul Hamid underwent checkup at Dhaka Combined Military Hospital (CMH) where doctors advised him to go to Singapore for better treatment.
The President is likely to return home on 4 May.
