Naogaon:  A woman was strangulated to death allegedly by her husband at Horijon Colony in Naogaon on Thursday.

The deceased is Parshi Rani, a night guard of the Food Department at Mahadebpur Sadar upazila and wife of Munu Sarkar, a resident of the colony.

The Sadar police said local people spotted the body of Parshi at her room in the colony around 11:00am and called police.

Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Naogaon Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Police suspected that Parshi might have been killed over family feud, the police added.

Parshi’s husband Munu Sarkar went into hiding after the incident.

A case was filed in this connection.
