Bomb wounded cop dies
Dhaka: A policeman, who suffered burn injuries in a petrol bomb attack on a police van in the city’s Matsya Bhaban area on January 17, died at Square Hospital in the capital on Thursday.
Police constable Shamim, 25, succumbed to his injuries around 10:00 am, said Dhaka Metropolitan Police deputy commissioner (Media) Masudur Rahman.
Five policemen were injured as miscreants threw a petrol bomb at their vehicle in Matsya Bhaban area on January 17, the 12th day of the countrywide non-stop blockade enforced by the BNP-led 20-party alliance.
