Bangladeshi shot by BSF along Kurigram border

Kurigram: A Bangladeshi farmer was shot and wounded by the members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Antapur border in Fulbari upazila in Kurigram on Friday morning, reports UNB.
The victim is Aminul Islam, 35, son of Ashraf Ali of North Antapur village.
BSF troops opened fire on a group of 5 to 7 people when they went to the bordering area for bringing sacks of meat from Indian village Khitaberkuthi, said Abdul Latif, habildar of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Antapur BOP.
Aminul Islam who was shot in his forehead was taken to an unknown place by his companions, he said.
Lt. Col. Jakir Hossain, commander of Kurigram BGB, said a letter has been sent to the BSF authorities protesting the incident.
