Gaibandha: The throat-slit body of a former military man was found at Dhaperhat in Sadullahpur upazila of Gaibandha on Saturday morning.

The deceased is Abdus Sabur Miah, a resident of Mawagari village of the upazila.

Sadullahpur Police Officer-in-charge Farhadul Imrus Kayes said Abdus Sabur did not return home on Friday night.

After a frantic search, locals spotted his body in the area and informed police in the morning.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Gaibandha Adhunik Hospital morgue for autopsy.

The body also bore several marks of injuries, the OC added.
